What Is Domain name

A domain name is a unique address that can be used on the Internet.
It’s what you see in the address bar after the “www.” in your web browser and it’s what comes after the @ sign in an email address.

The domain name is registered for one year at a time. Depending on your agreement with your registrar it may be automatically renewed or it may only be renewed after your registrar has received payment.

Registering a domain name doesn't automatically make your website appear when visitors enter your domain into a Web browser. You have to upload your website to a computer that hosts the site and assigns a numeric address, called an IP address, to your domain.

There are only a limited number of such domains. For example:

* gov - Government agencies
* edu - Educational institutions
* org - Organizations (nonprofit)
* mil - Military
* com - commercial business
* net - Network organizations
* ca - Canada
* th - Thailand

How to Choose a Domain Name:

1-Brainstorm 5 Top Keywords.
2-Make the Domain Unique.
3-Only Choose Dot-Com Available Domains.
4-Make it Easy to Type.
5-Make it Easy to Remember.
6-Keep the Name as Short as Possible.
